Special Student Development Programmes Offered

The school offers a variety of programmes to augment teaching and learning in the classroom. The signature programmes by levels include the following: Sec 1 – Learning Journeys and Learning Trails, Sec 2 – Creative Community Problem Solving and Learning Trails, Sec 3 – Overseas Adventure Camp and various Advanced Elective Modules and Elective Modules, Sec 4 – Motivational and Engagement Workshops. The school is developing a distinctive programme in media literacy. The programme is anchored in the English Language and Humanities curriculum where platforms will be provided for students to acquire media literacy skills and 21st century competencies. Students will apply the skills they have mastered in an authentic learning environment. The school emphasises a healthy lifestyle through the programme, ‘Holistic Outcome of Physical Education (HOPE)’ and through an established House System which actively promotes team spirit and physical health. In partnership with the Health Promotion Board, the school also promotes healthy eating and a balanced diet through the Healthy School Canteen Programme. Strongly anchored in character building and citizenship education, the school was awarded the National Education Outstanding Development Award since 2012.
