Special Student Development Programmes Offered

The school’s Applied Learning Programme aims to develop Effective Communicators, Caring Leaders and Inventive Thinkers through a 3-year Communication Skills Programme. In this distinctive programme, students develop thinking skills, collaborative skills and oratorical skills through Story Telling, Debates and Presentation Skills. There are talent development programmes to take students further in their areas of interest, such as e-Journalism and the Odyssey of the Mind Competition. The Leadership In Action (LIA) Programme nurtures students’ leadership potential by equipping them with social-emotional skills and effective leadership practices through cohort-wide workshops and outdoor camps. Students also hone their leadership skills by assuming different leadership roles. To nurture community engagement, the school has a comprehensive Sec 1-4 Service Learning structure. This helps to build practical life skills among youths. The school offers a structured Science and Technology Research Programme (STRP) to stretch the potential of our students. Under this programme, students are provided with opportunities to work on research projects under the guidance of dedicated teachers. They will also be equipped with research skills, analytical skills and presentation skills as part of the programme. The school also offers G.A.I.A Club, a student initiated environment club that serves to raise students awareness in the environment.The school has in place a comprehensive Lifelong Learning Programme to develop Resilience and Leadership through Sports Education. This is a 4/5 year programme infused in the curriculum and co-curriculum and focuses on the deliberate development of resilience, 21CC, character and leadership skills.
