Special Student Development Programmes Offered
True to our commitment to provide a holistic education, we have diverse programmes to cater to the development of our students. These include our character and citizenship education programmes, Overseas Camp (all Sec 3 students), Overseas Learning Journeys, Student Leadership Programmes, Advanced Elective Modules, Speech & Drama lessons (all Sec 2 students) and PE Outdoor Programme. To give our Normal Technical students a headstart with lifeskills training, the school has a special curriculum to cater to their diverse abilities and interests, including a Young Explorers Programme (sailing). Aligned with our vision to help our students develop into gracious and cultured individuals, our Applied Learning Programme is in Visual Arts and the school continues to build on this area of strength, by establishing various collaborations with external partners such as the ArtScience Museum and Singapore Pinacotheque de Paris. To develop our students to be resourceful and confident individuals who are compassionate towards their fellowmen, the school has also continually worked towards developing student leaders, particularly through community engagement. The school has developed the OPSS Community OutReach Education (CORE) programme as its Learning for Life Programme.
