Special Student Development Programmes Offered
The school offers a rigorous academic programme and a comprehensive range of Character and Citizenship Education (CCE) programmes that are well-aligned to MOE’s Framework for 21st Century Competencies and Student Outcomes. The school has developed two distinctive programmes, namely, Digital Media in Visual Arts and Design and Active Holistic Health Advocates (AHHAs) Championing Efforts towards a Healthier Community. Students are given a headstart in digital media during their lower secondary school years through our structured school-wide Digital Media in Curriculum Programme. The Digital Media in Visual Arts and Design Programme incorporates learning in authentic setting and integrates education and career experiences for the students. The exposure in depth and breadth gives our students the opportunity to identify their aptitudes and interests, build their strengths, and make informed decisions on their education and career choices. A healthy school is a happy one that promotes engaged learning and enhances students’ overall school experience. We adopt a whole-school and integrated approach in developing our students’ holistic health. The school hopes to equip our students with important values, knowledge and skills so that they become responsible and concerned citizens who are morally upright and can effectively take on active roles at home, in school and the community to contribute towards building a more pleasant and healthier environment and society. The school also offers a signature programme – The Global Canberran Programme that aims to provide every student with the opportunity to be engaged in learning beyond the school and local community.
