Special Student Development Programmes Offered
a) The Applied Learning Programme (ALP) which is offered at Lower Secondary levels integrates Food Science into the formal curriculum and extends what the students learn in the Food & Consumer Education classes. Students carry out hands-on activities on food related investigation and learn science process skills in contextualised settings. Students then gain a broader perspective of integrated learning where skills are transferrable across subjects. b) The Learning for Life Programme provides level-wide innovation and social entrepreneurship training, and also engages students in push-cart businesses with social enterprises via their CCA. This develops their leadership in service learning so that they become active contributors and concerned citizens. c) Local and overseas Level Camps from Sec 1 to 3 help to inculcate values and develop leadership skills. d) The Scholars’ Programme for higher-ability students provides them with additional support and opportunities in the academic domain, as well as leadership development opportunities to stretch their potential further.
