Music & Performing Arts – Visual Arts & DesignCreative Expressions: Expressing creatively through visual and performing arts (Arts Education)

Special Student Development Programmes Offered

The school offers a Learning for Life Programme in ‘Creative Expressions: Expressing Creatively Through Visual and Performing Arts’. Creative Expressions aid in developing students’ ability to acquire new skills; collaborate with one another; communicate effectively; be innovative and flexible; and to strive for excellence. These competencies are nurtured through the Arts and Aesthetics Programme where students are offered various electives such as the ukulele, a cappella, claymation and hip hop based on their interest. Apart from picking up new skills, students go through various stages of critique and peer evaluation, which reinforces empathy, communication and collaboration. To promote applied learning, the school has an Applied Learning Programme in ‘Creative Engineering: Inter-disciplinary Authentic Problem Solving’. Using the Design Thinking framework, the school aims to integrate problem solving into the disciplines of Mathematics and the Sciences (Physics).
