Special Student Development Programmes Offered

The school adopts the Innovative Design for Enhancing Achievements in Schools (IDEAS) framework, where a set of School-wide Pedagogical Principles has been developed to anchor teaching and learning practices. The school’s Niche Status in the area of Character Development and Student Leadership through UG recognises the importance of UG in the holistic development of students and as a platform for character development and values inculcation. Building on the strengths of the UGs, the UG niche, which is now repositioned as the school’s Learning for Life (LLP) programme, enables both UG and non-UG students to discover and develop their leadership skills, display an appetite for adventure, hone their talents and abilities and be imbued with a sense of responsibility to the school, community and nation. The school aims to nurture caring Woodlanders who are confident global citizens through a comprehensive character development programme that integrates student leadership development, community development, social emotional learning, aesthetics and experiential learning. Follow WDL’s facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/woodlandssecondarysch) for live updates on the learning experiences of students.
