The school’s Applied Learning Programme (ALP), ‘ENERGISE’ (Energy in Environmental Science and Sustainable Education) seeks to nurture critical and inventive thinking in students through unique learning experiences and inquiry-based projects in collaboration with our partners, the Singapore Science Centre and Nanyang Polytechnic. The school’s Learning for Life Programme (LLP),’CARE3′ (Confidence And Resilience through Engagement, Experience and Enrichment), comprises activities that will enable students to play at least one musical instrument, master at least one genre of dance, perform in a play or drama, sing in tune to music and appreciate the arts. Varied pedagogies and approaches are employed to engage students in their learning. These include: Knowledge Building (KB), ICAN, Gradual Release of Responsibility (GRR), Inquiry-based Learning (IBL), Making Thinking Visible (MTV) and Design Thinking Process (DTP). Different segment of students also attend programmes such as Learning for Academic Progression (LEAP) programme, Catch Up Programme (CUP) and Programme for Academic Regime (PACER). Unique programmes for different levels include: Holiday Academic Programme (Sec 4), Bridging Programme (Sec 3) and Booster Programme (Sec 2). The After School Engagement (ASE) programme aims to engage students in intrinsically-motivating activities that help to develop social emotional skills and competencies, enhance engagement in both academic and non-academic activities, and promote a greater sense of school-connectedness and belonging.
