DMCA Policy

Singapore-Schools.com respects the intellectual property rights of others. We comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and other applicable intellectual property laws. Our commitment is to promptly process and investigate notices of alleged infringement and take appropriate action.

This policy outlines the steps for reporting copyright infringement and the process for counter-notification. It also explains our policy regarding repeat infringers. We strive to maintain a website where content, including articles, school listings, and information on arts courses, adheres to copyright law.

Reporting Copyright Infringement

If you believe that your copyrighted work has been copied and posted on Singapore-Schools.com in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, please send a written DMCA takedown notice to our designated Copyright Agent. Your notice must include all the information required by the DMCA.

To be effective, your DMCA notice must contain the following elements:

  • A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the copyright interest.
  • Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed. If multiple copyrighted works are involved, a representative list of such works is acceptable.
  • Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity and that is to be removed or access to which is to be disabled, and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate the material.
  • Your contact information, including your address, telephone number, and email address.
  • A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.

Counter-Notification Process

If you believe that content you posted on Singapore-Schools.com was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notification. This counter-notice should also be sent to our Designated Copyright Agent.

Your counter-notification must include the following information:

  • Your physical or electronic signature.
  • Identification of the material that has been removed or to which access has been disabled and the location at which the material appeared before it was removed or access to it was disabled.
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification of the material to be removed or disabled.
  • Your name, address, and telephone number.
  • A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or if you are outside of the United States, for any judicial district in which Singapore-Schools.com may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original DMCA notification or an agent of such person.

Upon receipt of a valid counter-notification, we will forward it to the party who submitted the original DMCA takedown notice. Unless the copyright owner files an action seeking a court order against you within 10 business days of receiving the counter-notice, we may restore the removed material.

Repeat Infringer Policy

Singapore-Schools.com maintains a strict policy regarding repeat infringers. We will terminate the accounts of users who are determined to be repeat copyright infringers. This includes contributors sharing articles, photographs for school listings, or other content without proper authorization. We reserve the right to remove any content at our sole discretion.
