Community & Youth Leadershipi-LEAD @ Bartley
Special Student Development Programmes Offered
The Student Leadership Development Programme is our school-wide structured programme to nurture Bartleyans to be responsible leaders of self and for others, and resilient leaders for change as well as excellence. The 5As of Personal Leadership (Attendance, Attention, Assignment, Assessment, Attitude), and the 7 Habits of Highly Effective Youths (7 HEY) Programme underpin the school’s character development effort. Through the BSS Entrepreneurship Programme, students acquire financial literacy and build up their innovative capabilities. In this Programme, Bartleyans are required to identify authentic issues, conceptualise and design innovative solutions, and present their ideas for possible prototyping. The Academic & Character Excellence (ACE) Programme is targeted at higher ability students to stretch and accelerate their learning. To better support our NT students, the school has put in place the Social, Emotional & Authentic Learning (SEAL) Programme. This seeks to enthuse and engage our NT students through the provision of hands-on learning experiences, thus equipping them with social-emotional competencies and building their self-esteem. The SMILE@Bartley Programme is a mentoring programme for all our graduating students. Students are not only supported emotionally in their journey towards the national examination, but are also guided to make decisions that would have an impact on their next phase of development in institutes of higher learning.
