Special Student Development Programmes Offered

The school’s Character and Citizenship Education programme adopts a values-driven approach to realise the school’s vision to produce ‘Men and Women of Character and Learning, in the service of God and Community’. The Restorative Practices approach is adopted to build quality relationships between teachers and students based on the school values of Compassion, Humility, Respect, Integrity, Sense of Responsibility and Trust (CHRIST). The CHRIST values are constantly reinforced through mentoring and role modeling at platforms such as Co-Curricular Activities and Student Leadership development programmes. The Monfortian Achievers’ Programme allows students to gain self-confidence, acquire self-discipline and develop social-emotional competencies through experiential learning and Values-in-Action projects in the school and community. All students look forward to annual camps and overseas learning journeys as they provide opportunities for all to build team spirit, discover their latent strengths, build cultural awareness and start friendships which will last a life-time. The programme SPEAK (SPeak English with grAce and Knowledge) aims to develop a love and appreciation for the English Language, and hone students’ language ability so that they are effective and proficient users of the language. Through the programme, every Assumptionite at the lower secondary levels will experience a wide range of language genres such as poetry, classics and drama, with the chance to showcase their talents through competitions and events. At the upper secondary levels, Assumptionites will gain mastery of the language through specialised training such as debate, drama and public speaking, with opportunities to apply their skills through school-based and national competitions and events, and industrial attachment.
