Community & Youth LeadershipBecoming Persons for Others – Leadership through, and for, the Community
Special Student Development Programmes Offered
The school leverages on its Learning for Life Programme – Becoming Person for Others; Leadership Through and For the Community – to develop character, leadership and realise the school vision of Compassionate Heart. Platforms and opportunities are provided for each student to become a person for others. Anchored by Project Heart@Peicai, where the Sec 2s engage and involve the elderly through health-enhancing programmes, the school facilitates each student on his/her journey of Personal Mastery. From organising a Charity Fair as a Sec 1 student, to overcoming challenges and personal fears through an outdoor adventure camp in Sec 2, and finally as autonomous Sec 3 students being given the responsibility of managing school-wide events, each Peicai student becomes an increasingly competent, collaborative and conscientious member of the wider community. Supported by strong community relationships through the school’s partnerships with the Lions Club of Nanyang, the Rotary Club of Changi and Family Matters@Peicai, every Peicaian can make a difference – as Sports and Outdoor Leaders leading and organising sports/ health promotion events; as change-making Student Councillors, Peer Support Leaders and Interactors; and as individual contributors who are committed to improving the lives of others.
