Special Student Development Programmes Offered
The school’s Learning for Life Programme (LLP) seeks to “Nurture Confident Communicators and Gracious Citizens through the Arts”. Our students undergo an arts appreciation programme as part of the school’s mission to nurture Gracious Citizens, as well as to develop the 21st century skill of being Confident Communicators. Since 2006, the school has been enrolling students through the Direct School Admission (DSA) Exercise for its distinctive Performing Arts programmes. The LLP leverages the strengths, educational value and reach of our arts programmes to develop students’ talents and appreciation for the arts and culture. Our signature Aesthetics Development Programme provides arts-in-curriculum programmes in Dance and Drama for all lower secondary students, while other programmes such as the Secondary 3 Music Programme, Arts Assembly Programme, Lunchtime Concerts and Talent Competitions provide further exposure to the arts for the general student population. As part of our Talent Development Programme, students with a deeper passion and aptitude in music or drama are further developed to receive accreditation from reputable international institutions. As a Centre of Excellence for The Performing Arts, we organise arts master-classes and clinics for students to learn from experts in various disciplines. The Level Camp is a school-wide Character & Citizenship Education programme that is organised at the start of every year to provide our students with authentic experiences to acquire and practise school values, as well as develop their physical, social and personal skills. The differentiated programme by level equips our students with life-skills to overcome challenges as they transit to a new level.
