The school was awarded the LEAD ICT@Schools Scheme for the use of video technology in teaching and learning in 2006. The school was recertified People Developer Standard in 2005 and was awarded the Orchid Award for 2005/2006 School Green Audit Awards At the 2006 National Junior Robotics Competitions the Robotics Team won the Overall Championship & awarded 2nd in Best Presentation Award, 3rd in Best Research Award, 1st in Most Creative Journal Award and 2nd in Best Mechanical Design Award.
